Event Title: Meet the Experts case-based learning discussion
Event Date: 02-01-2008
Short Description: The first in a series of IPC Meet the Experts programs will take place in conjunction with the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting on February 1, 2008 from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Marriot Riverwalk, Salon DEF. Dr. Kenneth Gordon will moderate a discussion about difficult-to-treat psoriasis cases with panelists Dr. Craig Leonardi, Dr. Alan Menter, and Dr. Bruce Strober. For this interactive program, there will be an opportunity to nominate cases for inclusion in the program and to pose questions to the panel. This program is open to dermatology practitioners, and space is limited to 200 attendees. There is no fee to register but space is limited. Professor Christopher Griffiths will moderate a discussion about difficult-to-treat psoriasis cases with panelists Dr. Alan Menter, Professor Joerg Prinz, and Professor Wolfram Sterry. For this interactive program, there will be an opportunity to nominate cases for inclusion in the program and to pose questions to the panel. Event Title: Psoriasis interdisciplinary conference on co-morbidities and lifestyle modification
Event Date: 09-05-2008
Short Description: An interdisciplinary conference discussing psoriasis and its associated co-morbidities will be held in Dallas on September 5 - 6, 2008. Invited participants will present the current understanding of psoriasis, cardiovascular disease, obesity, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver disease, psoriatic arthritis, and the potential relationships between these conditions. The conference attendees will be asked to identify gaps in knowledge surrounding psoriasis and its associated co-morbidities and contribute to a research agenda for these important issues. Event Title: Improving clinical research consensus conference
Event Date: 09-19-2008
Short Description: A consensus conference on improving clinical research will be held on September 19 from 7:30 a.m. 9:00 a.m. during the EADV meeting at the Palais des Congres de Paris. Led by Professor Peter van de Kerkhof, this consensus conference will focus on two important issues in psoriasis research: identifying the best active comparator for clinical trials and defining the need for continuous therapy. This is in response to a meeting with our Board of Directors and the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) focusing on important issues facing psoriasis research and treatment.

Professor Wolfram Sterry will moderate a discussion about difficult-to-treat psoriasis cases with a focus on comorbidities with panelists Professor Jonathan Barker, Professor Sergio Chimenti, and Professor Peter van de Kerkhof. For this interactive program, there will be an opportunity to nominate cases for inclusion in the program and to pose questions to the panel. Event Title: Methotrexate safety and monitoring consensus conference

Short Description: A consensus conference on methotrexate will be held December 3 from 13:00 17:00 prior to the Gene to Clinic meeting in London at the British Association of Dermatologists. Led by Professor Jonathan Barker, this consensus conference will focus on important issues surrounding methotrexate monitoring and safety. This is in response to a meeting with our Board of Directors and the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) focusing on important issues facing psoriasis research and treatment.
